The term "Alzheimer’s disease", was first described by a German neurologist, named Alois Alzheimer. It’s a neurological disorder that affects the brain such that, the death of brain cells causes memory loss and cognitive decline. During the course of the disease, protein ‘plaques’ and ‘tangles’ develop in the structure of the brain, leading to the death of brain cells.
