National Safety Day

National safety day is celebrated in India every year on the 4th of March. It is organized by The National Safety Council. This is a non-profit organization which is only for public service, which was established on the 4th of March in the year 1996, under the societies act in Mumbai. This is a national movement that is celebrated every year in order to mark the safety of people and to prevent loss of life that takes place in the country due to various reasons. This council had around 8000 members at the time of its inception and aims to assist people with the aim of curbing the amount of deaths taking place in the country every year.

We are well aware of the fact that there are a huge number of people who lose their lives due to multiple accidents taking place in the nation. People are often not aware of the various safety challenges they might face on a day to day basis. The main aim of this movement is to make various safety services and assistance available to people all over the country. With the aim of making people more aware of the safety tricks they need to equip themselves with, The National Safety Council is dedicated to doing their best for serving the people.

There are various objectives of celebrating the national safety day. Some of them are:

#1. There are various environmental and health related movements that take place within the country. These are aimed at providing people with resources and assistance that will make it possible for people to take better safety steps for prevention of various challenges. It is essential for people to be aware of such things that are available for them. Most people are not aware of these facilities that are there to assist them. This is where the national safety day can prove to be of major importance. This day throws light on the various safety movements that are available to people. This day reminds people about the need for safety and the need for taking safety measures.

#2. The other important objective is to create awareness among people about the various safety measures that they need to take in many industrial areas. This is more of an effort to reach as many people as possible and to increase the awareness among people. There is a need for people to be aware of the most important safety rules that are a part of various industrial sectors. Dedicating a day makes it possible to attract attention of a larger group of people and to highlight the importance of adapting safety measures.

#3. The other objective is to increase the need to identify the importance of being aware among people. Most people are very ignorant about the various safety measures they are supposed to be aware of. It become easy to highlight the importance of being aware of safety measures when there is a day dedicated to making people aware. Awareness among people is of major importance when it come to taking and being aware of safety measures.

#4. This is also a very effective way to promote the participation of various companies in being aware of safety measures and also encouraging their staff to be aware and utilize all of these measures. This kind of effort encourages employers to educate their employees and to take appropriate measures to provide protection to people working under them.

#5. There is a major amount of importance given to workplace safety. One of the objectives is to make people aware of the importance of safety at the work place. Such things are not always given importance and most people are ignorant about workplace safety. This makes it possible to stress on the importance of being aware of the safety measures to be taken and to apply them in everyday life.

One of the unique things about National safety day is the fact that there is always a theme that is there for every National Safety Day and the celebrations revolve around that theme.
